欣洋酒楼XIN YANG SEAFOOD RESTAURANT(MUAR)

Come here for dinner for an event. Food was nice, especially Chinese cuisine. Many choices of dishes available, provide 3 sizes of dishes, small, medium or large to cater to everyone's needs. Order a few dishes and rice are the main option, also have fried mee/meehoon/kuehtiew as well.

Instead of ordering a standard set dinner for our Chinese New Year dinner, we decided to order based on the recommendations from the captain. As I have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions, I was not having too high an expectation. However, the food was surprisingly very good and certainly exceed my expectation. The staff was attentive and very service oriented.

Never expected such good quality and tasty Cantonese style restaurant in Muar. This was truly a surprise find, thanks to 阿贤’s recommendation. Every dish was so well-executed, especially the sambal sotong. The balance between spiciness and sweetness of the sambal sauce and freshness of squid made the dish stood out amongst all we ordered. Service was good and friendly. We arrived at 2pm and was still well-served by the service crew, even though their kitchen closes at 2:15pm, restaurant closes at 2:30pm. Waitress was very attentive and attended to us till we leave at 3:30pm. Overall, very pleasant dining experience, with a very reasonably priced menu.

Food still warm when serving! Big portion, delicious, The dessert drink is good too.

Overall food still ok and within expectation. Recommended 扣肉包 always! Price still reasonable!

I recently spent a quick 3-day family getaway in Muar and stumbled upon an excellent Cantonese restaurant that's a must-visit! The food was incredibly tasty and authentic, with friendly staff and top-notch service. Prices were slightly on higher side but still affordable, given the food standard, portion, service and dining environment. If you're unsure what to order, try their signature dishes – they're all delicious!
